Welcome to Rocket Mortgage®
On July 1, 2024, the servicing of your home loan will move from Planet Home Lending to Rocket Mortgage. We're excited to be your mortgage partner in the years to come.
Here's what this means for you:
- Your loan terms and conditions won't change, including your monthly due date and grace period.
- You'll get a new loan number in your transfer notice from Planet Home Lending.
- You'll use your Rocket dashboard to manage your loan from now on. We'll email you when it's time to create your account and start making payments.

Important Information To Know
If you had autopay set up with Planet Home Lending, it will not transfer over. You’ll need to set up autopay again once you sign in to your Rocket account.
If you've already sent a payment to Planet Home Lending, don't worry about it being late. They'll forward payments to Rocket for 60 days after your loan transfer, and we won't charge any late fees during that period.
Paying online is the safest and quickest way to make your payments. With your Rocket dashboard, you’ll have the option to set up autopay or make one-time payments. If online payment isn’t right for you, you can also mail in a check or use bill pay through your bank.
After the first 60 days, your monthly payment grace period will be the 16th of each month.
If you’ve been using Bank Bill Pay, please contact them before July 1, 2024 to set up your payments to Rocket. This will help you avoid any late fees in the future.
Any documents from before the loan transfer are available by request from Planet Home Lending.
You'll be able to find your loan documents from Rocket Mortgage in the documents section of your account. These documents include your billing statements, escrow analysis statements, and tax documents.
At Rocket, billing statements are generated after the 16th of each month and sent out by the 20th of each month.
Because of the transfer, you'll get multiple year-end (1098) statements in 2024 - one statement from Planet Home Lending and one statement from Rocket Mortgage.
If you have an escrow account, your escrow funds will move over and we'll continue to pay your taxes/insurance on your behalf. There is no action needed from you, and we’ll keep you up to date on any changes.
If you didn’t have an escrow account, your loan will remain non-escrow.
If you currently have optional insurance products such as life, accidental death or disability insurance, it’s important to note that Rocket Mortgage does not collect these premiums. Please contact your insurance carrier for more details on how this transfer may affect your policy.
We’re here to help.
